At Five Oaks Homes we adhere to the Built. Smart. philosophy to provide a well-designed, well-made product at a fair price.  We refuse to compromise quality of workmanship or materials for lowest cost.

Our construction materials and methods include:

  • Engineered roof and floor trusses that are designed and built in our factory, giving us greater control over efficiency, quality of construction, and cost;

  • 2x6 kiln-dried studs at exterior walls, which allows us to achieve greater insulation values and straighter walls;

  • Engineered veneer lumber instead of large dimensional lumber (2x8s and above) reduces our footprint on the environment and provides greater dimensional stability;

  • Spray-in foam insulation that uses renewable agricultural-based materials provides an excellent air infiltration barrier as well as additional shear strength in the walls;

  • Open-web floor and roof trusses to facilitate the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing;

  • Zip System exterior sheathing to protect the modules from weather and other damage;

  • High-quality dual-pane white vinyl windows, or upgrade to aluminum-clad wood windows (or a window type selected by the client);

  • The versatility and cost savings of modular design and construction.
