Construction Process - Site Work and Coordination    
         
   

When the house is delivered to the site it is typically about 90 percent complete.  Some finish work must be completed before the client can move in.  These tasks are generally handled by the client or a subcontractor hired by the client.

The on-site finish work includes:

  • Patch the roofing material across modular stitch lines.

  • Insulate openings at mating walls, interior and exterior.

  • Install final siding and trim across stitch lines.

  • Connect electrical lines across modules in junction boxes provided, and connect to main service.

  • Install any lighting fixtures that were not installed at the production facility.

  • Connect plumbing waste, vents, water, and gas lines across modules and connect to main service lines.

  • Patch drywall across areas left open for plumbing and electrical access.

  • Complete all interior trim across stitch lines.

  • Adjust interior doors as needed.

  • Install floor covering where needed.

  • Touch-up paint throughout entire house.

  • Final cleaning of all interior surfaces.

  • Walk-through and final inspection with homeowner.

 

Other site work may include:

  • Construction of any decks, patios, porches, and garages.

  • Final site grading, flatwork, and landscaping.
